Getaway to Bangkok - Day 2

Getaway to Bangkok!

Morning Market

We woke up early today for the Morning Market located on the left of our hotel. The Morning Market is a 5 mins walk from our hotel. Told ya, Glow Pratunum Hotel is really a well-situated hotel!

Crowded Morning Market

Soi 19 Wanton Mee

We bought some stuff and headed to the famous Soi 19 wanton mee! This wanton mee shop is just a few steps away from our hotel! It is that accessible! We reached the wanton mee shop slightly after 9am and there was a short queue. After 10 mins of wait, we were ushered to our seats.

Chatuchak Market

Finally, we were ready to head out to Chatuchak Market. We walked to the nearest BTS station - Chit Lom Station and hopped onto the train heading to Mo Chit Station. What we can say was that it was an extremely warm day! So, please hydrate yourself well!

Much needed coconut ice cream!

After You Dessert Cafe

Too much heat and what we need was......... DESSERT!! You read it. Yes! As fast as we could pack and keep our buys, we brisk-walked to the BTS for the air-con and ride back to Chit Lom Station. Because, as said, we need our desserts!

Entrance to After You Dessert Cafe
Shibuya Honey Toast
Chocolate lava cake
Peach soda and strawberry soda
Rocher Toast, green tea crepe, green tea frap and thai ice tea

I bet you can imagine how satisfied we girls felt after we wiped clean this dessert meal. IT WAS FANTASTIC!

Street Stalls
To offload some calories, we walked to the streets along the Amari Watergate Hotel to grab some souvenirs. We chanced upon this amazing customisable passport holders, keychains and bags. Needless to say, we spent 2 hours at this stall.

Friendly owner doing our customised items

It was kinda late by then. We strolled back to our hotel and bought 3 packs of mango sticky rice just in front of our hotel.

Delicious and cheap!! It's a must-buy!

And so, the day (and night) ended with a full stomach again.
