Hong Kong - The Land of Dim Sum - Part 2

Hong Kong - The Land of Dim Sum

Dim Dim Sum

Dim Dim Sum is situated at Mong Kok. It is 2 streets away from the Mong Kok New Town Plaza. We prefer Dim Dim Sum for its fresh and wonderful dim sum! In fact, we went back again just before we head to the airport to fly back home! This is highly recommended by us! You must try it too!

Check out the salted egg custard buns that come in pig shape!
Fantastic prawn rice roll
Flavourful xiao long bao and siew mai
and not forgetting the crunchy fresh hargow

Kam Wah Restaurant

Within Mongkok district, you will be able to spot Kam Wah Restaurant. What you shouldn't miss is their Bolou Bao! It must be eaten with that piece of butter. Anchor butter, to be precise.

Lantau Island

Apart from the eating, we did some sightseeing too. Just like any tourist, we bought cable car tickets to Lantau Island for the Big Buddha. This time round, we went for a mini hike at the Wisdom Path and the mountain leading to Phoenix Park.

Lan Fong Yuen

Hungry us (again) decided to head to Central for food. Lan Fong Yuen is infamous for their silky milk tea and pork bun.

Tai Cheong Bakery

By far, Tai Cheong eggtarts are the best and it remains as the number one in my eggtart list. Every time I am in Hong Kong, I make sure I make a trip here to buy my favourite eggtarts. I like the buttery crust and the sweet egg custard filling.

Little Bao

The little baos here are westernised dessert and looking all ready for instagram. Located at Central, this bao is pricey though. Oh wells, we are paying for the novelty i guess.

Four Seasons Claypot Rice

What's for dinner? The yummy claypot rice at Temple Street, Yau Ma Tei. This place gets very crowded during the weekends! You may want to avoid the weekends though and go during the weekdays. The oyster omelette is cooked very differently from ours as it is fried. It can be kind of oily but they are generous with their oysters!
